She came home to bury the past... Instead, she had to dig it up.

In White Lies, hardened journalist Edie Hansen returns to Cape Town for the first time in years after her estranged brother is brutally murdered in his upscale home. What should be closure quickly becomes a nightmare when her niece and nephew emerge as prime suspects.

As she begins to investigate her own family, Edie clashes with Detective Forty Bell, a seasoned investigator unwilling to play games — but just as bound by hidden loyalties and unspoken truths.

Together, and often at odds, they uncover a shadowy world of elite corruption, intergenerational trauma, and concealed motives, where even the purest intentions can mask the darkest lies.

Every family hides something... Some lies are just more expensive than others.
