Storyline:
In a town in the Sierra de Madrid, Bego (Gracia Olayo) and Agustin (Antonio Resines) live a peaceful retirement filled with recipes, gardening, hairdressing, and card games with friends. But ever since their children, Miguel (Alberto Olmo) and Carla (Clara Lago), became independent and moved to the city, the empty nest syndrome seems to have crept into their marriage, and they sadly begin to realize that their kids are starting to forget about them.

To make matters worse, the ungrateful kids don't show up for the meal Bego prepared for her son's birthday and immediately announce they won't be coming home for Christmas, pushing the parents to hatch a risky plan to bring them back. They decide to pretend they've won the lottery and become multimillionaires. A true "mess of millions" (Un lío de millones)..
